4 month check-up
today was leon's 4 month check-up (14 lbs, 9 oz., and 26 inches long), which meant vaccine day. we gave him tylenol as soon as we made it back home, but his crying has been pretty intense. poor baby can hardly bring himself to nurse, he's so unhappy.
i want my funny little bunny back.

I love that look of determination in the top photo. He's so intent on figuring that thing out!
aww, i hope he feels better soon!
Audrey has her next lot at 5 months (very soon) and I'm not looking forward to it. The nurse told me one of the components of the vaccine keeps stinging on and off after the acual jab. Yuk. Lots of cuddles for the poor man. It's just as hard on us too isn't it. Maybe some co-sleeping naps are in order.
the tylenol seemed to help some, but the poor baby had a 103 fever last night.
he is chilling out in the sling on the back deck right now as i try to finish up a project for my adviser. hard life for a baby, i guess!
i hope leon got back to his normal self pretty quickly. little hugh has his 2 month appointment in a couple of weeks and i'm not looking forward to it. i've heard it's OK to give them baby tylenol before the appointment. i'm sure it's kind of hellish regardless.
thanks for your comment about the latch on/off issue. i think for hugh it's definitely gas or reflux-related. thankfully it's only one or two feedings a day where he's like this.
and that little hat that stays on his head was from my mom, i think it's just carter's. it's got a goofy crab on it, but it's pretty cute and reminds me of a kangol hat. my little homey.
